The Next Chapter Is Still Being Written.
Second Watch Overland began with two veterans searching for a way to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover purpose beyond service.
What started with quiet conversations along the beaches of Galveston has grown into a journey built around the outdoors, meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and the belief that none of us has to navigate the road ahead alone.
This is where we share that journey.
Second Watch Overland wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from a new mission.
After decades of military and law enforcement service, James and Susan found themselves carrying experiences that didn't simply disappear when the workday or the mission ended.
Then something began to change.
During quiet evenings together along the beaches near their home in Galveston, they found space to slow down. They talked about their years of service, the people they had encountered, the weight they still carried, and what they wanted the next chapter of their lives to look like.
The beach didn't erase the past.
It gave them room to breathe.
Eventually, they realized it wasn't the beach itself that mattered. It was being present. It was honest conversation. It was reconnecting with each other and discovering purpose beyond the careers that had defined so much of their lives.
They began to wonder whether other veterans and first responders were searching for the same thing.
Second Watch Overland grew from that question.
